5 Journal Prompts to Help You Grow this April (+ March Highlight [Real])

Happy April friends! Can you believe it’s already April? WHAT.

I’m really excited about today’s post because it’s part of a brand new page on the blog! Every month (as I’m able), I’ll be sharing a few highlights from my life and give YOU some journal prompts to help you reflect on the past month and plan for a brand new one!  Each month the prompts will have a specific theme, and this month is growth.

Journal prompts are always inspiring to me, and I hope you enjoy these posts!

Let’s jump in. 🙂

March was a month of difficult lessons, stretching experiences, and hundreds of special moments all jammed together. Here are just 4 of my favorite things from the month…

1) My new Bible

I  ordered the She Reads Truth Bible at the beginning of March, and I. Love. It. So. Much. This Bible is packed with charts, devotionals, reading plans, and lots of journaling space! It’s been such an encouraging resource and it’s so beautiful and appealing to open. I really look forward to reading it every day. ❤

2) Spring Break

Spring break was such a needed week in March. This semester has been really difficult, so a few days to sleep in were warmly welcomed. 😉 I was able to practice several hours for my graduation recital, put together graduation announcements, enjoy slow mornings in God’s Word, and I went adventuring with my mom and sister-in-law to a park under the Brooklyn Bridge. Good memories were made. ❤

3) The Sovereign Grace album, “Together for the Gospel”

This album was on repeat for days on end. So simple. So encouraging. SO good. All the songs are packed with truth and encouragement, and I loved listening to them during my devotions, while I got ready for church, or when I went to bed.

4) Good Friday and Easter

Wow, what special times. My heart is still stuck on Passion week and the words from Isaiah 53. I never want to lose sight of what Jesus did on the cross. It’s truly mind-blowing to meditate on all He’s done, and with each passing year, Easter becomes more and more special to me. I will never get over His triumphant resurrection, or the sound of believers singing His praise in unity. What a beautiful, rich holiday.

That’s it for my month! How was your March? Any special memories or lessons you learned? Maybe last month was a doozy for you, and you just want to start fresh. Friend, it’s never too late to start over! Why not sit down and take some time to reflect, and prepare for the month ahead? Dive into April with intention and get ready to see God work. ❤

Here are your journal prompts…
  1. What is one thing God taught you in March?
  2. What Bible verse or passage specially blessed you last month?
  3. What area of your life did you struggle with in March?
  4. How can you improve in that area in the new month?
  5. Set a spiritual goal! Choose one thing you want to do more of and make it your focus this April. Here are some ideas…
  • Memorize 3-5 Bible verses
  • Tackle a new book of the Bible
  • Read at least 5 chapters of the Bible
  • Listen to 2-3 sermons on a specific topic
  • Read 4 devotionals

Jot down what you’ll do to help you thrive this April! Spring is a season of new beginnings and growth. Let’s embrace it together. 🙂
